I’m always fascinated by visual contrasts, and some of the most striking to me involve the sea at sunset … the contrast of silver and dark navy on the backlit waves, and in this case, the contrast of the black palm fronds with the azure ocean and blushing sky. It’s a special and peaceful time of day down there, like the world spins just a bit slower for those moments, taking its eye of the daily grind of gravity just so it too can admire the quiet beauty of sunset.
