It's What We DON'T See That's Important: In viewing Powell's slides, I was struck by two thoughts related to the reconnaissance photos. First, these are clearly not the best we have--US satellite technology can read license plates and military uniform shoulder boards--and the Administration clearly does not wish to reveal the extent of our capability. Second, it's remarkable how similar the photos are to those Kennedy showed the world during the Cuban Missile Crisis ... again, an affectation I don't consider accidental.
