Wouldn't That Be Great: CNN

Wouldn't That Be Great: CNN TV reports this morning that Delta Airlines has comitted to a 90 second average check-in time by the end of 2003. Nothing about this yet at Delta, but this would clearly be a turn with which the industry must reckon. Maybe the airlines (besides Continental and Southwest) will finally realize that in a distressed market service can actually be a means of keeping revenues up and the stock price over $5 ... although don't expect food again anytime soon. In a related topic, isn't it odd to think that now the SABRE computer-based booking system, spun of by American years ago, is now worth more than the airline itself? Says something about what the market values as well.
